Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is India’s first planned Greenfield industrial smart city, strategically located approximately 100 km south-west of Ahmedabad. Spread across a total area of 920 sq. km, Dholera SIR is being developed in a phased manner over the next two decades. Out of the total area, around 580 sq. km is developable, as nearly one-third of the region falls under the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ). To maintain ecological balance, prime agricultural land has been preserved, and approximately 422 sq. km has been allocated for urban development.
This urban area has been systematically planned into 6 Town Planning (TP) schemes and 27 sub–TP schemes.
Dholera SIR is designed to become a benchmark for future cities in India, supported by world-class infrastructure and smart urban planning. It is a key node of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), India’s most ambitious infrastructure initiative, aimed at creating globally competitive industrial cities.
